A local and returning customer who specializes in supplier selection and management, planning, implementing, managing the physical flow of product for world-class international manufacturing companies, and servicing customers in the various markets requires us to manufacture this Spring Torque Spindle. Starting with 304 Stainless Steel 2.875 OD tubing we hand spun using heat from a radiant heat source to close one end completely. We then CNC machined the outside diameter with a require dimension of 2.751 and lathe polished. We also had to rough bore the ID to 2.605 - 2.610 and place a second bore hole of 2.626 and only 2.5" deep, verified by using a plug gage to the proper OD and depth. A 2.0" hole was placed in the closed end by CNC machining, as well and the placement of 8 mounting holes and a 9/32 wide slot in the side of this part. All dimensions were verified by CMM Faro Arm inspection and a bright emery and scotch brite finished applied by lathe polishing.
